If a banner ad's earning is through CPM, then that banner will get you money when that banner gets 1000 impressions from your visitors. You have to choose the position of your banner ad's wisely as its earning rate is CPM, locate ads on top of your sit. Google does'nt use keyword meta tags

The giant in web searching - Google officially announced that they are not using keyword meta tags in their search engine ranking. Meta tags were the keywords used to index by search engines, but still it may be used by other search engines, but Google applies a different strategy to crawls and index the pages.

Meta tags are the keywords which are used by search engines to crawl and index the web pages. Meta description are still used by Google to display about the web page in their search results. Keyword meta tags may give false information about the web page, as it is given by webmasters, they may be giving false information about the pages. Using Google's approach irrelevant keyword meta tags won't make any problem in searching.

Google may use these keywords meta tags in future - says Google. But don't remove your keyword meta tags from your web/blog it may helps some other search engines to crawl and index your pages. Remember! Google uses your meta description in their search result, so place a proper description about your site/blog.

Apache/PHP/MySQL Configuration

Configuring APACHE/PHP/MYSQL

Apache Installation :- Double click the apache_2.0.54-win32-x86-no-ssl and rest of the processes guide you through until completion of the installation . Apache will be installed into your C:\program files.

Testing Apache : Once installation is completed , an icon will be appeared in the status bar displaying Apache2 status , where you can start , stop and restart your server . And finally enter http://127.0.0.1 in web browser's address bar after starting the server in status bar and if your installation completed successfully then you'll get apache home page on your browser window.

PHP installation:-Unzip the phpzip file to a folder named PHP into C:\

Integrate PHP with Apache2:-

(1)Copy the file named php5ts.dll available under c:\php to the Windows system directory.

(2)Copy the file named php5ts.dll to the Apache web server's bin directory.

(3)Add the PHP directory i.e c:\php to the PATH variable as what you learnt in MCS-024 class path settings.

(4)You have two ini files in c:\php directory named as php.ini-dist and php.ini-recommended. Copy the php.ini-recommended to the windows directory and rename it to php.ini.

(5)Open the Apache's httpd.conf file and find the following lines somewhere maybe middle of the file as

And add the following lines just below the above lines

(3)Just edit the above two lines uncommenting the lines i.e deleting ; and # respectively from the first and second lines and the final lines should be as extention_dir="c:\php\ext" extension=php_mysql.dll

Renaming Multiple Files in a Folder
You can rename more than one file at a time in Windows XP. For this : Select multiple files in the Folder, press F2 and rename one of those files to something else. All the selected files get renamed to the new file name (plus a number added to the end).

Folder without any Name
Select the Folder and then right click on the folder choose rename and then type Alt + 255(Hold Alt key while entering 255) as New name.

Fast Shutdown
If you want to shut down quickly-or if a frozen application prevents you from shutting down in the normal ways-you can use the following procedure. To perform a Quick shutdown, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to display Task Manager. Open the Shut down menu and hold down the Ctrl key as you click the Turn Off command. Poof! If your computer is part of a domain, the procedure is similar. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and then hold down Ctrl when you click Shut Down. In this situation, you'll get a warning message pointing out-quite correctly-that this should be used only as a last resort.

Rename Recycle Bin

Click Start, Run and type REGEDIT.EXE

Locate following location:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

From the File menu, choose Export and backup the branch to a REG file.

Double-click the value named LocalizedString and set its data accordingly. (For example, set its Value data to Trash if you want to change the Recycle Bin icon to read as Trash.)

Exit the Registry Editor.

Press {F5} key on the keyboard to refresh the desktop icons.

After "Windows VISTA", Microsoft has released beta version of its coming Operating System - "Windows 7" (Windows Vienna).

Improved Task Bar and Full Screen Preview is one of the striking feature of Windows 7. In Windows 7, one can set the order of the task bar icons, you can also see the preview of the minimized windows before moving to a window.

DOEACC - Quality Assurance in Computer Education

DOEACC SCHEME

The Ministry of Information Technology (MIT-formerly Department of Electronics) is operating a scheme, namely the Department of Electronics Accrediation Of Computer Courses (DOEACC). The scheme is the outcome of a working group set up by the all All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which is the statutory body for the development of technical education including computer education in the country. The AICTE has delegated the responsibility to MIT, which has authorised the DOEACC society to implement the scheme.

Under the scheme the computer institute/organizations in the non-formal sector subject to meeting well defined norms in criteria are given accreditation for conducting specified levels of courses. DOEACC, as a society under the auspicious Ministry of Information Technology handles all the task like registring the students for various examinations, conducting examinations, evaluation of the results and awarding the certificates. These certificates have been recognised by Central and the State Govt. and statutory organisations for the purpose of employment.

Windows Vista is the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a line of graphical operating systems used on personal computers including home and business desktops. Before its announcement on July 22,2005 Vista was known by its codename Longhorn. On November 8, 2006 Windows Vista development was completed and released to manufacturing. Over the next two months it was released to MSDN. TechNet Plus and TechNet Direct subscribers, computer hardware and software manufacturers and volume license customers. On January 30, 2007, it was released worldwide to the general public, and is available for download from Microsoft's web site. These release dates come more than five years after the release of its predecessor, Windows XP, making it the longest time span between two releases of Windows. According to Microsoft, Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista introduces version 3.0 of the .NET Framework, which aims to make it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API. Microsoft's primary stated objective with Vista, however, has been to improve the state of security in the Windows operating system.
